A high class batsman, had hit a century in his official One-day international debut. A virtual all rounder, he was  forced to take on a triple role of captaincy when his best test innings also earned Zimbabwe their first test victory. Although he regained captaincy again after losing it, he has lost it again. But that doesn't say anything to the amount that he has contributed to this Zimbabwe side. He is the back-bone of their batting line-up and he is also a remarkable wicket-keeper.
