Back with Vengeance
Down but definitely
not out. And now he is back - a more matured Waqar with the same deadly reverse swing. He
blasted the critics by snatching five wickets to get the man of the match award against
India in the second league of Coca-Cola Cup in Sharjah. A mentally tougher, Waqar gives
all credit to self belief and sheer hard work.
Things were not going
his way. Critics said he had lost the great Waqar touch, fans gave up hope. But when the
going gets tough
..the tough gets going and Mr. Tough is back with the "Famous
Waqar yorkers". The zest for the game he loves made him come back. He believed
in himself when nobody believed in him. And now his rhythm and confidence is back. He
seems to be getting into the right frame of mind and believes mental therapy helped him a
lot. Recently married, he says his marriage played a big part in his come back. It helped
him becoming a stable person and his wife stood by him when he was down, as he says,
" She helped in bringing out the best in me."
The silent war
between Waqar and Akram is well known. But both respect and support each other on the
field. A man of few friends
that's Waqar Younis. Wah Waqar !!!!
