Though Allot was the highest wicket taker in the 99 World cup equalling Roger Binny's record in the 83 world cup, still he has not done enough ever since, to put himself at the top of the table. He lacks in consistency which is so essential to be succesful in One Day cricket. But he is a great fighter. He can give a lot of runs in his first spell but one can't take him lightly, as he is capable to coming back and taking some wickets. He is an essentail part of the New Zealand team and one of the best bowlers that they have.
