Indians
to play a one-day game ahead of first Test
Georgetown,
April 7: The Indian cricket team has agreed to play a one-day
game against Guyana before the first Test starts on Thursday.
According
to coach John Wright, players like Tinu Yohannan and Wasim Jaffer,
who could not be accomodated for the on-going three day match against
Guyana Board President's XI, would get a chance to prove themselves
in this game.
However,
unlike other regular limited-overs games, this match would be more
on Test lines with rules like fielding restrictions and no-bouncer
not coming into play, Wright said.
