West Indies thrash Kenya in three-dayer

Nairobi, Aug 6: West Indies beat Kenya by an innings and 47 runs in the third day of their three-day cricket match here on Monday.

The highlight was fast bowler Marlon Black, ably assisted by Corey Collymore in destroying the Kenya batting with match figures of 6-35.

Kenya were chasing the West Indies first innings of 414 for 7 declared and were not able to negotiate the tight bowling from the tourists.

Black, the 24-year-old from Trinidad and Tobago, made his presence felt when he claimed three quick wickets.

Kennedy Otieno was the first to go on the fourth ball of the first over of Kenya's innings followed by Jimmy Kamade and Steve Tikolo (25).

The two teams head to Mombasa for a four-day match starting on Thursday in the Indian Ocean port city.
