Muthiah to talk to Ganguly on conduct in the field

Mumbai, August 2: Board of Control for Cricket in India president A C Muthiah will be speaking to Sourav Ganguly on his behaviour in the on-going triangular one-day series in Sri Lanka, BCCI secretary Jayawant Lele said on Thursday.

Ganguly, who has not been able to control his emotions in the field, having been suspended for a match twice in the last eight months, also received a fine of 75 per cent of his match fee for his verbal abuse after dismissing Sri Lankan batsmen Mahela Jayawardene and Russel Arnold in Wednesday's match.

Lele, however, said he would not like to comment on Ganguly's behaviour at the moment. ''The president and me will have a talk to him afterwards,'' he added.

The chairman of the selection committee Chandu Borde also refused to be drawn into the controversy, saying that he would not like to comment on it, 'sitting here'.

Borde said, "I am sure that Ganguly must be worried over his suspension and fine. I hope he will improve his behaviour."
