Sri Lanka president congratulates Jayasuriya

Colombo, September 2 : Sri Lanka's President Chandrika Kumaratunga Sunday congratulated skipper Sanath Jayasuriya and his team for winning their first Test series against India for 16 years.

Sri Lanka won the third and decisive Test by an innings and 77 runs in Colombo on Sunday.

Kumaratunga also commended the effort put in by coach Dave Whatmore, officials said.
