White to join English team on Jan 29

Kanpur, January 28: England all rounder Craig White, who was in the original squad for the six-match one-day international series against India but stayed back due to a knee problem, will join the team on Tuesday.

England Cricket Board's media manager Andrew Walpole said White had been named in the squads for the one-day series against India and New Zealand but could not join the team in India as he had to undergo a second knee operation.

The inclusion of the experienced White in the team is expected to boost further the prospects of the visiting side in the last two one-dayers. England went into the fourth match of the series today with a 1-2 deficit.

Squad: Nasser Hussain (capt), Marcus Trescothick, Nick Knight, Michael Vaughan, Craig White, Paul Collingwood, Ben Hollioake, Graham Thorpe, Jeremy Snape, James Foster, Andrew Flintoff, Mathew Hoggard, Ashley Giles, Andrew Caddick and Darren Gough.
