Skipper
Sourav immerses himself in practice
Kolkata,
January 7: Dogged by a long run of poor scores in international
outings, Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has immersed himelf in practice
here ahead of the one day series against England beginning next week.
Ganguly,
who totalled only 68 in the just-concluded three test series against the
same touring side, today practised at the net for one-and-half hour at the
Eden Gardens, keenly watched by a number of his young admirers.
The
stylish left hander had a long session with the bat and faced four rookie
bowlers specially brought to the ground to give him practice with the
willow.
Ganguly
also turned his arm, in a bid to tone up his skills with the red cherry
for a long time, clearly indicating his determination to silence critics
who have recently taken him apart for his marathon dismal performance.
Ganguly,
looking cheerful, also obliged autograph hunters, though he refused to
speak to the press.
