English
team continue nets at CCFC ground
Kolkata,
January 13: Despite the English team management's repeated complaints
about poor practice facilities ahead of the January 19 inaugural tie of
the one-day series against India, the visiting players today seemed
relaxed and jovial as they had their second day's work-out here.
Skipper
Nasser Hussain and a number of his team-mates were seen chatting with
youngsters at the Calcutta Cricket and Football Club (CCFC) ground. They
also gladly obliged autograph seekers.
Frontline
pacers Andy Caddick and Darren Gough had long bowling sessions at the
nets, with coach Duncan Fletcher and his deputy Tim Boon keeping close tab
on the proceedings at the ground.
Caddick
started with a shorter run up but increased it later.
The
English team also did stretching exercises and practised running between
the wickets and catching aprt from the customary net practice during the
two and half-hour session.
However,
the start of the work-out was delayed for a short while as a match
involving two local sides was on when the visitors arrived.
