  • The ODI match between Australia and New Zealand on March 17 1983 was arranged for the Australian Bushfire Appeal Fund.

  • Someone released two pigs on to the playing area during the Australia vs. England Match at Brisbane in 1983. One had ‘ Botham’ painted on its side, the other ‘Eddie”.
  • 70 spectators were arrested for drunken behaviour during the Australia vs. West Indies match at Sydney in January 1984.
  • A boundary overthrow won the West Indies vs. Australia match at Port of Spain for the latter on March 14, 1984, with two balls to spare.
