England has found Trescothick just at the right time and even he did not take a long time to show what a compact player he is at the top of the order in both the versions. He is a perfect foil to someone like Stewart and can change his role very easily when he bats with Atherton in the tests. He is a very valuable player for England who was badly in need for a regular player at the top. He has made runs in both the versions and has cemented his place in the side.
