He is the Australian wicketkeeper , who is enthusiastic, reliable,
cheerful and an attacking opening batsman with wide variety of shots, Adam Gilchrist is
delight to the spectators. Following predecessor Ian Healys complete retirement,
Adam Gilchrist made his place in test Cricket in 1999. His stunning unbeaten 149 leading
to the third most productive final innings chase in test history , he has made his place
as one of the most successful a Australian cricketer. His square
cuts and pulls are considered to be the best and such is the power of this
man that he can hit the ball to any part of the ground with no effort. Also
a World Class wicketkeeper he has not disappointed anyone with his ability.
He is a good motivator and a great team man. No wonder he has been made the
Vice Captain of the team.
